• January 2017: At 22,000 words, written in six weeks, appears the novella God and Santa Claus Trump Trump: A Christmas Tale of Generosity, Love, and Redemption. Initially, it’s an ebook at 99 cents, available for kindle and nook readers. The POD paperback at $6.95 will appear on Amazon right after the end of January. The plot flows naturally from my third Santa novel, Santa Claus Saves the World, with an alas fanciful attempt to fix Trump’s horrendous little psyche on Inauguration Day, before he can do any official damage. After many failures, they succeed. Includes a 4000-word author’s afterword.
• November 2016: And Caliban now graces Amazon, again in both POD and kindle formats. This novel was initially published in 2002 by Leisure Books and reimagines Shakespeare’s The Tempest, as told by the “monster” Caliban. It also covers his life before and after the events of Shakespeare’s play. Once again, the astonishing artwork of Dean Samed has delivered a killer cover.
• September 2016: Oedipus Aroused: Homer’s Long-Lost Erotic Epic is now out from Lambent Light Publishing in trade paperback and kindle editions. I wrote Oedipus Aroused in the late 1980’s, my initial attempt at a novel. Although it brought me my first New York agent, the brief craze for literary erotica had passed and he was unable to place it. I shelved it and went on to write Santa Steps Out. Cover art for Oedipus Aroused is from Dean Samed, who has done covers for several Stephen King limited editions in the Dark Tower series. Dean’s astonishing work is worth checking out.
• December 2013: Santa Claus Saves the World, just out from Deadite Press, is the third novel in my Santa Claus Chronicles. Again, the astonishing Alan M. Clark supplies the cover art. It can be read on its own but certainly benefits if you have read the previous books.
• December 2011: Links to Santa Steps Out and Santa Claus Conquers the Homophobes, just published, in their Deadite Press editions. The first book contains all the original Alan M. Clark illustrations from the limited Dark Highway Press edition, not to be missed! There’s also a second Afterword and the restoration of Patrick LoBrutto’s introduction, which Leisure Books left out of their mass market edition.
• October 2011: Links to Baby’s First Book of Seriously Fucked-Up Shit and Walking Wounded, just published, in their Deadite Press editions.
• January 2011: It’s my pleasure to announce that my next release, from Deadite Press this coming March, is short story collection Baby’s First Book of Seriously Fucked-Up Shit, 60,000 words of dark fantasy and horror from many worthy venues. Table of contents as we approach the release date.
• December 2010: Santa Steps Out: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is now out in a Kindle edition, just in time for the holiday season. Prospects are good for a new trade paperback edition next fall, but meanwhile, this edition is the ticket!
• September 2010: “Ridi Bobo,” my clown adultery/detective story, will make a new appearance soon in The Magazine of Bizarro Fiction, an issue guest-edited by John Skipp. Stiff rubber chickens rule the roost!
• August 2010: Now available as a trade paperback is Slaughterhouse High: A Tale of Love and Sacrifice (used to be called Deadolescence) from Deadite Press, an imprint of Eraserhead Press. Look for it on Amazon! In a nutshell: “It’s prom night in the Demented States of America. • April 2010: I’m delighted to announce that Eraserhead Press out of Portland, Oregon will publish Deadolescence: A Tale of Love and Sacrificenext fall as a trade paperback. More details as they emerge!
• November 2008: Santa Claus Conquers the Homophobes has received its first review in the online journal The Harrow. “A wonderful mix of ancient mythology and childhood icons . . a hell of an accomplishment . . . startlingly original and daring.” Read the full review here.
• August 2008: I now have in hand the first copy, fresh from the printers, of the trade paperback Santa Claus Conquers the Homophobes, a sequel to Santa Steps Out. More news here as the book makes its appearance on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other online bookstores. Santa Claus Conquers the Homophobes will also be available as a eBook from my POD publisher, booklocker.com. • March 2008: My first published novel, Deadweight (Dell Abyss, 1994), long out of print, has lifted its horrific bones from the grave and now walks among us again. Deadweight can be ordered from booklocker.com (read the first three chapters there), Amazon, or B&N.  It’s also listed in Ingram’s so you may have luck ordering it through your local bookstore.
• October 2007: I’ve been podcast-interviewed about Deadolescence: A Tale of Love and Sacrifice and much more by Brian Matus and Damian Smith. I have no idea how good or ill an interview subject I was. You be the judge! Look for Episode 18 here.
• September 2006: My short story “God’s Madmen,” in which Abraham Van Helsing uses Dr. Jekyll’s reconstituted potion to spike the tea of attendees at the first international peace conference (1899) in The Hague, will be published in issue #4 of Farthing magazine, Fall of 2006. The story was originally requested for Jeanne Cavelos’s The Many Faces of Van Helsingbut Jeanne rejected it as not quite horrific enough in the traditional sense. The editor is always right, of course, as her sense of her own anthology cannot be gainsaid. But lamentations over the obscenity that is war are my concern in that story, and that’s plenty horrific enough in my book!

• July 2006: I’m delighted to announce that John Mason Skipp’s Mondo Zombie has been loosed upon the world, courtesy of Cemetery Dance Publications. My story “Holy Fast, Holy Feast,” about an undead guru in Montreal, told in the metafictional reality-fracture of Robert Coover’s classic mindbender “The Babysitter,” joins a host of tales in the grand tradition of Book of the Dead and Book of the Dead 2: Still Dead, the Skipp and Spector anthologies that finally eventuated in this one. From Nickolas Cook’s Hellnotes review: “Robert Devereaux’s [story] is the best literary take on the concept of infinite possibilities I’ve ever had the pleasure to read. His skill in weaving and bobbing the multiple parallel stories is stunning.”
