FREEBIE: Deadolescence: A Tale of Love and Sacrifice

Yep, good ol’ Robert is back after long hiatus, with some grand news for those of you who’ve found merit in my previous work and/or who would like to sample something new.

That something new is Deadolescence: A Tale of Love and Sacrifice, a novel in 26 chapters that tells the story of a certain high school where things are going way awry.  High schools in the Demented States of America are built with secret passageways and are meant to be locked down during senior prom, where it’s accepted practice to slaughter one couple and tear off bits of their bodies as mementos of the prom.

But something’s gone amiss at Corundum High, where the unknown designated slasher is claiming a far higher body count than the normal two.

Is it Futzy Buttweiler, the principal with a smoldering grudge against the system that once claimed his daughter?

Is it school nurse Delia Gaskin, the butt of student pranks?

Or it is Gerber Waddell, the once-sociopathic head janitor whose lobotomy may not quite have done the trick?

And will Dex and Tweed, our love interest, survive the night that ought to have been their last?

Beginning Halloween 2007, each week for thirteen weeks, I’ll send you, gratis, two chapters of my latest horror novel, Deadolescence.  To try it out, just send an empty message here, or fill in the two boxes below and press Sign Me Up:

Wow, about time! So great to see you’re doing this, and I can’t wait to read it. Hope you’ve been doing well. It’s been far too long since we’ve spoken.

  2. Great to hear from you, Monica. May the work, when it starts making itself known, exceed your every expectation! One of these days, I’ll have to get back into the convention circuit, no question about it!

Hey Robert, nice to see some Devereaux horror flowing into the public consciousness again! 🙂 Does this release and your re-joining of WHC mean that you might have yet more horror up your sleeve in the future? And how goes the Civil War novel (itw own kind of horror)…?

  4. Hey there, Jason. Time will tell. The Civil War novel is going nowhere, though researching it was amazing, there are so many avenues into this material. Take care!
